Sunset Bridals

I love bridal sessions. They are probably my second favorite types of sessions to shoot (after weddings!). I love how calm the setting is, how we can choose the best time of day, and how giddy the bride is to see her full vision come together for the first time.

A few tips for bridal sessions:

Use this as an opportunity to test out your hair and makeup trial.

Wear shoes that are the same height as your wedding day shoes, but save the wedding day shoes so they do not get messed up.

I like to schedule these sessions about 6-8 weeks out from wedding day. This gives me time to edit the gallery so you can order a print or canvas for the reception in a timely manner, and also gives you time for further alterations for your dress if you discover that those are needed.

One to two hours before sunset is the perfect time for these sessions. The light is soft and golden and looks wonderful and glowy on skin.

If the ground is wet, bring a sheet to put under the dress. This may seem like an annoying task, but I promise it's better than having a dirty dress on wedding day!
